Melinda A. Culley

 

Melinda A. Culley is an Partner at Kelly PC. She received her B.A. degree in Environmental Science in 2002 from the University of Kansas, with highest distinction, and her J.D. in 2006 from the University of Colorado. During law school, Melinda served as a legal intern with the City of Wichita’s Legal Department and for a solo practitioner representing Colorado municipalities. She began practicing in 2006.

Melinda’s practice is focused on providing general counsel services to municipalities, including the Towns of Dillon Haxtun, Kremmling, Sedgwick and Wiggins and the Cities of Dacono and Louisville, and public entities including the Denver Regional Council of Governments. Her work for clients includes drafting ordinances, reviewing contracts and land use development applications, preparing appellate briefs in appeals of municipal court convictions, and researching and drafting memoranda of law regarding issues such as election law, employment law, public records, open meetings, and TABOR.
